Podiatry Rest Home Care

Aged care residents experiencing a decline in physical health are at greater risk of foot complications and their subsequent health complications.

Carole's service provides for assessment, diagnosis, care planning and management of foot disorders. As a trained podiatrist she is especially concerned with identifying and managing high risk feet.

For your elderly residents general treatment involves correct toe nail cutting, attention to any painful corns or callus. Off loading of high pressure areas may be required to improve comfort or assist healing. Liaising with medical staff and discussing follow up treatment may be necessary.

For aged residents who are still mobile care also includes footwear assessment and advice.

Good podiatry care can encourage mobility and help prevent falls.

Carole enjoys working with our elderly citizens  and believes good podiatry care can make a very real difference to their quality of life.

Carole works throughout the Nelson region and would be happy to discuss care for your residents.
